Jill Greiner, Water Efficiency Coordinator with the City of Charlottesville, and Westley Kern, Communications & Outreach Coordinator with Rivanna Solid Waste Authority, stopped by the Big Greasy Breakfast to talk about this year’s “Imagine a Day Without Water Campaign and Contest”.

This year’s theme is: “Water Works”

Youth in Charlottesville and Albemarle County – Grades Kindergarten through Grade 12 are eligible to participate.

Each year, ask youth to show why we must value and save water in our community through art or photography.

Accepting Art submissions – starting September 15th through October 27th.

HOW TO ENTER: You can upload a digital image to City’s website, OR mail your entry to: Water conservation, PO Box 911, Cville 22902, OR drop off at a local library – JMRL Central, Northside & Crozet Branches.

Fan Favorite Voting – November 17 – December 3rd, with winners announced December 10th.

Winners in each age category win $200 Gift Card and Water Conservation Goodie Bags.

Teachers that have their students participate in art contest are also eligible for prize.
