Camp Creative – Louisa Arts Center

    June 15, 2026 - June 19, 2026 - 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Louisa Arts Center
    212 Fredericksburg Ave

If you’ve got a middle or high school student who loves art, creativity, and trying new things, here’s a summer opportunity happening right here in Louisa that might be the perfect fit.

The Louisa Arts Center is hosting Camp Creative June 15th through the 19th at their Fredericksburg Avenue location in Louisa. Designed for students in grades 6 through 12, this hands-on camp encourages young artists to explore their creativity while discovering new ways to express themselves through art.

Camp runs daily from 11 AM until 2 PM and gives students the chance to work with a wide variety of materials, techniques, and artistic styles. Participants will explore projects centered around identity, self-expression, and creative experimentation, all under the guidance of Camp Director Danni Perry.

Students will have the opportunity to create altered photographs, learn printmaking techniques including gelli plate printing and relief printing, experiment with mixed media textile projects, and much more. Whether your child already considers themselves an artist or simply enjoys being creative, Camp Creative is designed to encourage exploration and build confidence through the arts.

The cost for the week is $125, and organizers want families to know that youth scholarships are available through the LaVahn and Mary Frances Hoh Scholarship Fund to help make the camp accessible to more students in our community.

The experience doesn’t end when camp wraps up. Students will also have the opportunity to showcase their work during a special final exhibition on July 19th at 2 PM.

Again, that’s Camp Creative, June 15th through the 19th at the Louisa Arts Center, open to students in grades 6 through 12. You’ll find registration information and scholarship details through the Louisa Arts Center. It’s a great opportunity for young artists to create, experiment, and let their imagination run wild this summer.
