CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 800 block of Hardy Drive. Officers responded to the scene around 3:30 a.m. and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The injury was reported as non-life threatening.
Investigators recovered 27 shell casings from four different types of firearms, indicating that multiple weapons were used in the incident. Police have not released any information on potential suspects at this time. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
