Local voters will pick a new member of Congress Tuesday. One big issue for the next 5th District Representative will be the Affordable Care Act. Jane Dittmar of Albemarle County is the Democrats’ nominee. She says some of the taxes that were included in the 2010 legislation were not thought out.

Republican State Senator Tom Garrett of Buckingham County says small business owners complain about Obamacare all the time. Garrett says it’s been a debacle. Whoever wins Tuesday will succeed retiring GOP Congressman Robert Hurt. The candidates were recent guests on the Morning News with Rick and Jane.
