Structure fire on Old Turnpike Rd.

Albemarle Fire & Rescue News Release

On July 4th at approximately 11 p.m., crews responded to reports of a structure fire on Old Turnpike Road. Upon arrival crews found a large detached garage fully involved along with multiple vehicles parked outside the garage.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours to extinguish the fire.

The garage and contents were a complete loss with an estimated value of $250,000. There were no reports of injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The Cause of this fire is deemed undetermined at this time.
