Governor Introduces Gun Control Measures

Governor McAuliffe hopes 2015 will be the year Virginia cracks down on gun owners. McAuliffe introduced a package of gun control measures Monday in Arlington.

He wants to reinstate a practice of limiting handgun purchases to one a month. McAuliffe (pictured) also wants to prohibit people who are subject to protective orders from possessing firearms.

Shaun Kenney of Fluvanna County, who’s the Executive Director of the Virginia Republican Party, labels this proposal “Terry McAuliffe’s unconstitutional gun grab.”

Kenney says McAuliffe (pictured) is trying to fire up Virginia’s Democratic base in advance of the 2015 elections.
