A local businessman who once served on the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors has passed away. Frank Birckhead was a 1972 graduate of Albemarle High School and graduated from UVA’s Commerce School four years later.
Birckhead joined the Board of Visitors in 1994 and served one term. He chaired the board’s Audit Committee.
The 61-year-old Birckhead ran Moneywise Payroll on Arlington Boulevard.
