Nicole Hawker, founder and executive director of Heart and Soul Fitness, is making waves with her Women’s 4 Miler training program. In a recent Chamber Live segment hosted by Jay James, WINA Morning News, Hawker shared insights into the program designed to help women prepare for the annual Charlottesville event.
Hawker, who holds a degree in counseling, transitioned into fitness in 2012 as a personal journey towards health and wellness. “In about a year of working out and really understanding how to get myself back in shape and get my health back together, I started looking at how to help others,” Hawker explained.
Heart and Soul Fitness, established in 2022, operates as a nonprofit aimed at giving back to the community. “As a nonprofit, we exist so that we can give back to our community,” Hawker noted, emphasizing the studio’s mission. The Women’s 4 Miler training program exemplifies this mission, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for participants.
The training program has seen enthusiastic participation, with about 25 women joining the Saturday morning sessions. “Individuals realize that the sky is the limit for them, that there is nothing they cannot accomplish if they put their mind to it,” Hawker said, highlighting the transformative impact of the training.
