CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – After a warm weekend, winter may not be done with the region just yet. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area from 4 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The forecast is for mixed precipitation that Accuweather predicts will be a coating-to-an-inch accumulation.

The NWS advisory said hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.

The advisory said snow will move into the area Monday afternoon but may struggle to accumulate in the lower elevations.

Precipitation will then change over to sleet and primarily freezing rain this evening.

The precipitation will start to change to plain rain overnight before tapering off Tuesday morning.
