CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Watch for constricted lanes on I-64 through Albemarle County just outside the city for VDOT bridge safety inspections over the weekend between Pantops and Monticello. On Saturday, the westbound left lane will close from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at mile markers 122 and 124. On Sunday, it’s the eastbound left lane during the same times and places.

Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the inspection area. All work is weather permitting, and there is a good chance of storms Saturday afternoon.

Local updates about conditions in VDOT’s Culpeper District are posted to X.com/VaDOTCulp and the Culpeper District Facebook page.

Current traffic conditions, VDOT’s statewide network of traffic cameras, and other travel information are available on the 511Virginia website, the free VDOT 511 mobile app, or by calling 511 from any phone in Virginia.
