VSP weekly crime suppression report shows $2.4m in denied revenue from seized narcotics

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Virginia State Police’s ongoing crime suppression operations seized 77.8 pounds in narcotics between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11.

VSP’s latest figures, which were released on Friday, included huge busts when it comes to denied revenue from seized narcotics, which totalled $2,376,192.

Narcotics recovery included 51.9 pounds of cocaine, 4.3 pounds of methamphetamine and 21.6 pounds of marijuana.

As for cash, crime suppression operations recovered $57,964.

Human trafficking cases that were investigated or are still under investigation total 225. Eighty-three victims were identified and offered services.

VSP’s crime suppression operations are done in close collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies.
