Virginia Ranks in Top Ten States for Retirement, According to New Study


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A new study from Voicenation has ranked Virginia among the Top Ten states in the nation for retirement.

The study, which evaluated factors such as cost of living, healthcare, and weather, placed Virginia in 7th place, ahead of states like California, Utah, and New Jersey. Florida, South Dakota, and Iowa claimed the top three spots, followed by Nebraska and Arizona.

Virginia scored particularly well in the categories of cost of living, retirement life, and healthcare, earning scores in the high 60s out of a possible 100 points.
