GAINSVILLE, FLA, (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Men’s Basketball team entered the SEC/ACC challenge on the road at No. 13 Florida as 16.5-point underdogs, however as the game began, they jumped out to a 9-point lead early in the game but then turnovers led to a 20-2 Florida run and the two teams traded baskets down the stretch in the first half.  Unfortunately for the Wahoos, they didn’t have the depth or the execution in the second half to keep pace with the high-powered offense of the Gators and eventually Florida took over the game.  The Cavaliers were led by a strong effort from Elijah Saunders, who scored a career high 19 points and Isaac McNeely contributed 12 points as well.  However, the difference, once again for Virginia was their 15 turnovers that led to 20 Florida points and when you lose by 18 that is ultimately the difference in the game.  Afterwards, Head Coach Ron Sanchez joined analyst Jimmy Miller, on WINA and the Virginia Sports Radio Network.
