Virginia Football rolls at Coastal Carolina 43-24

CONWAY, S.C. -(CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- The Virginia Football team produced one of its most impressive victories in the Tony Elliott era, defeating Coastal Carolina on the road 43-24.  Virginia started fast capitalizing on Coastal fumbling the opening kickoff and scoring on their first offensive possession.  The Wahoos would put up 27 first half points leading 27-10 at halftime.  They continued the momentum scoring another three points on the opening drive of the second half and never looked back finishing off the Chanticlears 43-24.  Virginia was impressive offensively with 500 total yards and 374 yards rushing, led by sophomore running back Xavier Brown who had 171 yards on 9 carries and back up quarterback Grady Brosterhouse scored two rushing touchdowns and Malachi Fields caught two touchdowns from quarterback Anthony Colandrea.  The Hoos are now 3-1 and head into a bye week before returning to Scott Stadium on October 5th to face conference rival Boston College.  UVA Head Coach Tony Elliott joined the Virginia Sports Network on WINA after the game:
