Virginia drops the season finale to Virginia Tech 37-17

BLACKSBURG, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Another year, another loss to Virginia Tech for the Cavalier Football team.  The Hoos got off to a slow start offensively and never could find a consistent rhythm.  Virginia Tech scored on their opening drive and led 20-3 at halftime.  Conversely, UVA tried to be aggressive even calling a flee flicker on the game’s first play but Tech stuffed it and held Virginia in check offensively in the first half.  UVA Quarterback Tony Muskett got the start in place of Anthony Colandrea, and Tony Elliott told the Virginia Sports Network that the offense needed a spark and experience in a difficult environment and that is why he decided to start Muskett.  Number 7 responded in the second half rushing for two touchdowns and early in the fourth quarter Virginia had closed to within 13 points trailing 30-17.  However, Muskett did throw two costly interceptions and Tech would eventually put the game away on a 60 yard touchdown run by Bhayshal Tuten midway through the fourth quarter en route to a 20 point win.  Tony Elliott reflected on the loss on WINA and the Virginia Sports Radio Network.

UVA 5th year senior quarterback Tony Muskett also joined the post game show on WINA.

Up next for the Hoos, they look to National Signing Day to try and add depth and build the roster through the transfer portal as well.
