CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Cavaliers men’s basketball team will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in a neutral site matchup at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on February 14 this upcoming season. The Nashville Hoops Showdown was announced by Intersport on Thursday.

Virginia basketball head coach Ryan Odom said of the contest, “The matchup will test us in the midst of our conference schedule and help prepare us for the postseason. Playing in a premier venue, in a vibrant city, also creates an exciting experience for our fans.” Tickets for the event will go on sale December 10 with a 24-hour presale window beginning December 9.

This will be the seventh all-time meeting between Virginia and Ohio State. Most recently, the ‘Hoos defeated the Buckeyes in 2015 64-58 in Columbus and in 2016 63-61 in Charlottesville as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
