Virginia 2nd in the Nation in Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Rankings

RICHMOND, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – New Leapfrog group numbers show Virginia 2nd in the nation in its new safe-hospital grades. Leapfrog Communications Coordinator notes hospitals across the nation have made remarkable strides especially in reductions of infections and medical errors. The Fall rankings are based on the share of hospitals in each state that earn “A” grades, and in Virginia that’s 57.7%.

“A” grades locally are Augusta Health and UVA Health’s Medical Center in Culpeper. UVA Medical Center and Sentara Martha Jefferson both earned “B”s. See the entire breakdown locally, and explore more in Virginia and the nation by clicking here.
