UVA Wide Receiver Malachi Fields Enters Transfer Portal

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – University of Virginia wide receiver Malachi Fields has entered the transfer portal after four seasons with the Cavaliers, first reported by 247Sports. The Charlottesville native amassed 1,849 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns during his tenure. With his speed, physicality, and positional awareness, a declaration for the NFL draft looked likely.  However, after four years with the Hoos, Fields will look to close his collegiate eligibility with a different program.  His departure marks a significant transition for UVA’s offense as they look to rebuild after the arrival of two new quarterbacks through the portal, Chandler Morris and Daniel Kaelin.
