UVA Volleyball Earns First Postseason Appearance Since 1999

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The University of Virginia Volleyball team (21-10, 11-9 ACC) has earned a spot in the 2024 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) and will host first and second-round matches at Memorial Gymnasium on December 7-8. The Cavaliers, who have secured a first-round bye, will face the winner of the opening match between North Carolina A&T and St. John’s at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 8. That first-round match will take place on Saturday, December 7, also at 6 p.m.

This marks UVA’s first postseason appearance since 1999. The team’s performance this season has earned them a place in the field of 29 teams vying for the NIVC title.

Ticket information for the NIVC games will be announced at a later date.
