The 2025 Meet the Team event, presented by UVA Orthopedics, kicks off at 4 p.m. at the Welsh Indoor Practice Facility, off Massie Road on Grounds.  Entry is free to fans, and both head coach Tony Elliot and members of the squad will be available for autographs.

The team’s official 2025 season poster will be available. There will be balloon artists, face painters, and inflatable games for the kids. Fans can access the event via the promenade next to the McCue Center entering the Northwest gate of the IPF.

On Aug. 29, the Virginia Marching Band and the spirit squads will begin the Paint the Town Orange pep rally from the Omni Hotel.  They will march through the Downtown Mall beginning at 7:40 p.m., twenty minutes before the Fridays After Five Concert wraps up.

UVA cheerleaders will be at the concert distributing the 2025 poster and running other giveaways.  The team and Elliot will appear onstage throughout the rally.

Kickoff against Coastal Carolina is at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30. The game will be broadcast by the Virginia Sports Radio Network and can be heard at WINA, and Cvillerightnow.com.
