Tuesday morning fire displaces two in Albemarle County

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Two adult residents and their two dogs safely escaped a late Tuesday morning fire that burned a home in the 2600 block of Cardinal Ridge Road in the Owensville area.

According to Albemarle County Fire Rescue, career and volunteer personnel were dispatched at 10:42 a.m. with the first crew arriving ten minutes later to find flames showing from the roof of a two-story home.

Although unhurt, the residents are displaced and are being help by family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office.
