Tickets now available for Christmas at the Paramount

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Oratorio Society of Virginia will present its annual Christmas at The Paramount on Dec. 20.

This year’s concert features a performance of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio for chorus, string orchestra, organ and harp. Soloists from the chorus will be joined by guests Brain Thorsett (tenor) and Veronica Siebert (mezzo).

The program will also feature arrangements of “Christmas in Killarney” and “In Dulci Jubilo,” choral works by Gustav Holst, and Michael Slon, along with traditional carols “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and “Joy to the World.” The program also includes sing-along carols.

“We look forward as always to sharing this wonderful music with our Paramount audiences and helping to magnify the joy of the season in and for the community,” said Michael Slon, Music Director of The Oratorio Society and Director of Choral Music at the University of Virginia.

The festival will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
