CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Barracks Road Shopping Center will welcome three new businesses in 2025: Dry Bar, Emmy Squared Pizza, and Appalachian Running Company, according to an announcement from Federal Realty Investment Trust.

Dry Bar, a blowout and styling salon, will open a 1,606-square-foot location in the North Wing of the shopping center. The salon is expected to begin operations in early 2025, offering luxury hair services.

Emmy Squared Pizza, known for its blend of New York-style grandma pizza and Detroit-style pizza, will occupy a 2,842-square-foot space. The restaurant is set to open its first Virginia location in spring 2025, joining other eateries at Barracks Road such as AT&T, Smoothie King, and Ralph Sampson’s American Tap Room.

Appalachian Running Company will open a 2,251-square-foot store specializing in athletic footwear. The store, slated for early 2025, will carry brands including New Balance, Nike, Brooks, and Hoka, and will be located next to its parent company, Shoe Fly.

Other recent openings include Monkee’s, a women’s boutique, and Alumni Hall, a retailer offering University of Virginia collegiate apparel.

“We are excited to bring these new businesses to Barracks Road, adding to our diverse mix of offerings for the Charlottesville community,” said Deirdre Johnson, Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Federal Realty.
