ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, career and volunteer units from Albemarle County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1200 block of 5th Street at approximately 12:24 am.

The first to arrive discovered outbuilding fully engulfed in flame. No injuries were reported but the building was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office.
