UPDATED: State Police issue Amber Alert for 15-year old Henrico County girl

SANDSTON, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) –

UPDATE: State Police have ended the Amber Alert as they report Ronique was found safe. No word on her alleged kidnapper, Tyrell Ashley Davenport.

UPDATE: State Police say the vehicle has been located. The Amber Alert remains active.

ORIGINAL:

The Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Henrico Police Department, for a child abduction that occurred on April 3, 2024 at 2310 hours. The child is believed to be in extreme danger and was last seen on Newbridge Terrace in Richmond, VA.

Abducted is Ronique Channel Poteat, 15 years old, black female, black hair, brown eyes, 5′ 4″ , 115 lbs. Last seen wearing a pink Nike t-shirt with a white swoosh, red boxers, a black bonnet, and Michael Kors glasses. The child is believed to have been abducted by Tyrell Ashley Davenport , 23 years old, black male, black hair, brown eyes, 6′ 0″, 145 lbs. Last seen wearing a dark blue zip-up hoodie, dark blue jeans, and black Timberland boots. They may be in a black 2006 Honda Accord with VA plate KI&ARI.
