CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An Oklahoma man has been sentenced to sixty years in prison with 35 years suspended for sexually assaulting an Orange County minor in 2024, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation began in Jun. 2024, during which investigators determined that Kenneth Don Gray of Tulsa, Oklahoma, did not live in Virginia.

He was indicted in November 2024 on charges of aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13 years of age, object sexual penetration, and cruelty to children. He was arrested by the Tulsa Police Department on Dec. 2 and extradited to Virginia later that month.

Gray entered into a plea agreement to avoid trial. Per the agreement, the sexual battery and cruelty to children charges were dropped so the victim would not have to appear in court.

Gray is required to register as a Teir III sex offender upon release.
