Northern Virginia pilot dies in Culpeper County plane crash

BRANDY STATION, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – State Police release the ID of a pilot who died in a Friday afternoon plane crash in Culpeper County. 66-year old Grover C. McCall of Alexandria was the pilot and sole occupant of a small aircraft that went down shortly before 3 Friday afternoon near the 13000 block of Spillman Road, about a mile from Brandy Station. The FAA and NTSB have been notified, and the crash is under investigation.
