CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Virginians who bought money-making tickets for Saturday’s Powerball drawing didn’t hit the big prize, but there were ten players who won more than small change.

Five $10,000 winning tickets were purchased in Barren Springs, Farmville, Richmond, Stafford and Winchester.

Tickets worth $50,000 were purchased in Fairfax, Henrico, Manassas and online.

In Saturday’s drawing alone, more than 266,000 Virginia Powerball tickets won prizes, including five tickets that each won $100,000 and four tickets that each won $50,000.

The winning numbers were 11-23-44-61-62, and the Powerball number was 17. Two tickets nationwide matched all six numbers to split the jackpot. Those tickets were bought in Missouri and Texas. The jackpot for Monday’s drawing was $20 million.
