CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Seven people were left looking for a place to live after fire destroyed their home Monday morning in the 3900 block of Red Hill Rd., according to Albemarle County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were dispatched at 8:48 a.m. to the scene on Red Hill about a mile west of Scottsville Road, and fire suppression apparatus arrived 12 minutes later, ACFR announced in a release.

They found smoke and fire showing on one side of a home, and two adults and two children home at the time had safely evacuated.

First responders are still searching for multiple pets.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, though the fire marshal’s office believes it was accidental.
