CUCKOO, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A Mineral man is dead in a Thursday afternoon crash on Route 33 about 2 miles east of Cuckoo in Louisa County. State Police say 67-year old John Baysura was driving a 1994 Dodge Dakota west on 33 about 200-feet west of Apple Grove Road around 5pmwhen he ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Although he was wearing a seat belt, he died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
