HARRISONBURG, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – State Police are investigating a Monday morning crash that killed a motorcyclist in just north of Harrisonburg in Rockingham County. Sgt. Brent Coffey says 34-year old Jacobo E. Wilson of Harrisonburg was traveling north in the 2000 block of Kratzer Road shortly before 8am at a high rate of speed trying to pass another northbound vehicle. The motorcycle crossed the solid double-yellow center line, went out of control off the left side of the road, and smashed into a utility pole.

Though he was wearing a helmet, Wilson died at the scene. His was the only vehicle involved.
