Eighteen Hoos Qualify for NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Texas

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Eighteen members of the top-ranked University of Virginia women’s swimming and diving team have qualified for the NCAA championships in a couple of weeks. Included are the three Olympians.

Alex Walsh will swim for national championships in the 100 Breast, 200 IM, and 200 Fly; younger sister Gretchen Walsh in the 50 and 100 Free, and 100 Fly; and Emma Weber the 100 100 and 200 Breast. The women’s championships will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington — outside of Seattle — from Wednesday, March 19 to Saturday, March 22.
