IVY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The new owners of Duner’s Restaurant in Ivy are honoring the legacy of former owner Will Richey, who owned that and several other area restaurants, on the anniversary of his December 12, 2023 death. Jennifer Kelly and husband Chris, who was hired as chef of the Ivy Road institution, purchased the restaurant at the request of Will’s family and they know Will’s favorite charity was the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. In his honor, Duner’s is dedicating 15% of sales Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to the food bank… taking financial donations through a QR code in the restaurant and on their social media… and collecting food in a bin at the restaurant. You can also donate by clicking here.

Kelly says Richey was a force in the Charlottesville culinary scene who is missed to this day, and you can hear her talk about the restaurant, Will Richey, and this Blue Ridge Area Food Bank benefit in the posted interview.
