CPD investigating BB-type projectiles fired from a vehicle

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Charlottesville Police Department is investigating an apparent BB shooting in the vicinity of 14th Street NW and Grady Avenue.

Police say they received reports of a person firing what is believed to be BBs or a BB type projectile from a vehicle just after 10:00 p.m., resulting in minor injuries.

There were several similar shootings in 2022 with no suspects ever identified.

The vehicle is described as a grey or silver Ford SUV. Anyone with information is asked to contact Charlottesville Police at (434) 970-3280.
