CPD Accusing 64-year old City Man of Robbing the 5th Street Exxon Wednesday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police have a 64-year old suspect in custody in a Wednesday evening robbery of the 5th Street Exxon. Officers were called shortly before 7:30 after an adult male suspect advised the clerk he had a gun in his bag and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied with the demand, and the suspect fled on foot with the cash.

Officers were given a suspect description and quickly searched the area, locating Charlottesville resident Floyd Thomas Goodson who fit the description. He’s charged with robbery as well as an unrelated probation violation.
