CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – Charlottesville’s new trash decal year began on July 1. Residents who use an annual trash decal for weekly trash service and have not purchased a new 2024-2025 trash decal are encouraged to purchase a new one as soon as possible to avoid any disruption in trash pickup service. Residents who have purchased a new decal since June 1st and have not received it in the mail should reach out to the City Treasurer’s Office to obtain a replacement.

The City offers a variety depending on can size, including 32, 50, 64, and 96 gallon decals. They can be purchased in person in the lobby of City Hall at 605 E Main Street, by mail using an order form via mail, or online through the City’s miscellaneous payments portal. Information regarding annual trash decals or individual trash stickers, as well as a printable order form, can be found on the City’s Trash, Recycling, and Leaf Collection page or by emailing the City Treasurer’s Office at citytreas@charlottesville.gov.
