ACPD investigating gun shot victim found near Ivy Rd.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A man found by Charlottesville Police near Ivy Rd. suffering from a gunshot wound late Saturday night is believed to be the victim of a domestic incident in Albemarle County. The victim was transported to UVA Medical Center and is in stable condition, according to Albemarle County Police.

ACPD announced it had responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at about 11:30 p.m. at the 200 block of Harvest Dr. Officers arrived two minutes later but “were unable to determine that a crime had occurred at that location,” per an ACPD release.

Charlottesville Police responded around 11:32 p.m. to a report of “a male who was shot” near 2121 Ivy Rd. The initial investigation revealed “the victim was determined to be shot in Albemarle County and then traveled into the city,” prompting CPD to refer the case to the Albemarle County Police Department.
