CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed mid-morning in broad daylight in the 700 block of West Main Street. Officers responded at 9:13 Tuesday morning to a stabbing report, and found upon arrival a male victim with life-threatening stab wounds. He was taken to nearby UVA Medical Center.

There was a heavy police presence in the area throughout the morning as this incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers 977-4000.
