CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- Charlottesville City Schools confirmed Monday that they will continue to provide breakfast and lunch free of charge to all students who are served under National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
Following the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, CCS has been participating in the Community Eligibility Provision that has been in effect since 2010.
The meals can be relied upon to come daily, and to be nutritious to help kids develop.
There are also provisions in place for discretion, as households will not be required to submit an application to receive meals.
Charlottesville City Schools begin the 2025-26 Academic Year on August 13th.
