Albemarle Police investigate shooting in Barracks West townhomes

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County Police are investigating a Friday morning shooting in the Barracks West townhomes off Barracks Road near Georgetown.  Police responded to the 800 block of Runnel Court around 5:20am for a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found a victim with on gunshot wound, who was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
