ACPD seeks suspect fleeing from Sunday morning traffic stop

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- Albemarle Police are searching for a man who fled from a traffic stop on Sunday. 

Three warrants have been obtained for the arrest of Torius Jihad Price of Charlottesville.  Price is charged with felony eluding, felony damage to property, and misdemeanor hit and run. 

Price was stopped by an ACPD officer early Sunday morning under suspicion that he was driving under the influence.  Price fled in his car, before stopping the car and running on foot.  

The ACPD release describes Price as a male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. 

Do not approach if you see Price; ACPD considers him to be armed and dangerous.  

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call crime stoppers at 434-977-4000.
