A commercial structure off US 29 near Branchlands Blvd. caught fire on Saturday

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A fire broke out in a commercial structure just off Seminole Trail on Saturday morning. The building was unoccupied at the time, with no injuries reported.

The blaze broke out in a building located in the 900 block of Premier Circle at approximately 5:40 a.m.

Responding crews arrived to discover smoke and flames showing from the front of the building. Responding crews from the Charlottesville Fire Department and career and volunteer units from Albemarle County Fire Rescue were able to extinguish the fire by 7:34 am.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office but does not appear suspicious in nature.
