83-year old Lynchburg man dies in Covesville motorcycle crash


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An 83-year old Lynchburg man has died crashing his motorcycle on Route 29 in Covesville.

Albemarle Police and Fire Rescue responded shorty after 2 Friday afternoon to a report of the single-vehicle crash on northbound 29 near Covesville Lane.

The rider, identified as James Tennant, died at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation, and ACPD has no other information to release.
