Virginians Experience Tornadoes In Prince George And Sussex

The National Weather Service has confirmed that two late spring tornadoes have struck parts of Virginia. The Wakefield office of the weather service has determined a surprise wind, rain and hail storm on Thursday afternoon spawned tornadoes in Prince George County near Hopewell and the Waverly area of Sussex County. Both of the tornadoes happened south of the James River and involved winds approaching 70 miles per hour.
