UVA Among Colleges Investigated On Handling Of Sexual Abuse Complaints

The University of Virginia and the College of William & Mary are among several schools nationwide that are being investigated concerning sexual abuse complaints. The federal government is looking at the way the colleges deal with allegations of sexual harrassment. The federal government is looking at 55 colleges and universities. The U.S. Department of Education says being on the list does not mean a school has been found to be in violation of Title IX requirements at this stage. The agency promises regular updates as new investigations get underway.
