An overnight closing next week on part of Route 29 in Madison. VDOT is shutting down a section of the southbound side of 29 near the Madison County community of Leon. That will happen Thursday, August 28th from 8 o’clock at night until 9 the next morning. VDOT is replacing a pipe. A detour will be set up for southbound traffic. In western Albemarle County, VDOT is closing Clark Road for three days beginning Monday, August 25th to repair the shoulder. The work on Clark Road will be about two miles east of Route 810.
