Two Maryland Residents Died In Weekend Plane Crash In Halifax

State Police have identified two Maryland residents who died after their antique plane crashed at a Halifax County racetrack. 46-year-old Jon Couch and his 72-year-old mother Frances Couch were killed after their single-engine World War Two plane caught fire and crashed at Virginia International Raceway. The mother and son were from Annapolis, Maryland. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safey Board are investigating the fatal crash, which happened late Friday afternoon.
