PALMYRA (WINA) – The Fluvanna County Sheriff says witnesses saw multiple suspects in a two-door car responsible for the early Sunday morning murder of 43-year old Johnnie Antoine Brown in the 3700 block of Ridge Road near Palmyra. Deputies responded around 3am to a report an individual had been shot in a residence there. They arrived and located the victim and began lifesaving efforts. EMS responded and took over the effort, but Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect description is limited, and anyone who knows anything is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office does not believe there’s an ongoing threat to the general public.
