The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority will tell a North Carolina company to find some alternative routes for a sewer line. Executive Director Tom Frederick (pictured) says the Charlotte firm could end a nearly year old stalemate between Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Ken Boyd is the only RWSA board member who does not want to pay the N.C. firm $16,709 to find alternative routes. The proposed sewer line would include McIntire Road and the Schenck’s Branch area of the city. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has urged the RWSA board to agree on a plan by September 30th.
