Albemarle Police say at least 30 cars were broken into late Tuesday in the Canterbury Hills and Hessian Hills neighborhoods. Police Lieutenant Pete Mainzer says the victims live in county neighborhoods that border Barracks Road. All of the vehicles were unlocked. Tampering with a vehicle is a criminal offense. County Police have told their officers to keep a record of these incidents.
